This next group of pictures represents the dolls produced in 1986, with the exception of one more on my next entry.
1. 1986 Hasbro Preschool MUSICAL GLO WORM Doll. US version doll. ***** $-$$+ *****
2. 1986 Hasbro Preschool GLO BUTTERFLY Doll. US version doll. ***** $-$$+ ******
3. 1986 Playskool BABY GLO WORM Doll. This doll has two faces (two sides to it's head/body). One side is the "awake" side with eyes open, and a pink bib with a sun design. Other side is the "sleep" side with eyes closed, and a blue bib with a moon design. US Version doll. ***** $-$$ *****
I know the baby Glo worm with the pink bib (with the sun on it) is female. The box says "hug her tight, she glows bright with light" (plus she looks exactly like the baby Glo worm on the Glo friends cartoon series). What about the baby Glo worm with the blue bib with the moon on it? Is it supposed to be male or female? If it is female, is it supposed to be the same baby Glo worm as the one with the pink bib? Also do you know if the GloWees were ever produced?

Greetings! There are two types of "glo babies". The first to be produced was Glo Baby. She has a plastic baby doll face/head. Her body is cloth with a pastel plaid bodyshaped like a stuffed sack.
DeleteThe other baby is called Baby Glo Worm. She is a day / nite worm doll. She has the usual worm/bug shaped plastic face/head. The pink and blue bib colors are on the same doll.
I do not believe the colors signify boy or girl. Instead, what hapens with this special doll is that it has two faces. One side of the dollshows the eyes open / awake. This is the day version of the dol. The bib is pink with a sun.
The night side of the doll shows her asleep with eyes closed. Her bib is now blue on this side with a moon on it (I think, I don't have the doll in front of me.
Last but not least, the night cap on her head moves back and forth to cover one side/face.

I had the baby Glo bug and some of the small ones also I had a couple of the Beddie Buddies the dog and Bright eyes she had the pageboy haircut lol Iv seen them on eBay all the Glo bugs and the copy cat ones
