This post includes a group of different GLO FRIENDS inserts / catalogs / pamphlets, instructions, etc. Pretty much a bunch of misc literature or papers related to Glo Friends stuff.
1. 1985 Hasbro GLO FRIENDS Mail Order (U.S.) EXCLUSIVE Finger Puppet Order Form Insert for Glo Flutterbug. This was the for the first Mail Order Exclusive finger puppet called Glo Flutterbug, "it's own sleeping bag", and though it does not mention it, it does come with a Character Collector Card. In this offer, you have to send 2 Moon Drop Points and $2.00 per figure, plus $0.75 for S&H. The offer expired on January 31, 1986.
2. 1986 Playskool GLO FRIENDS Mail Order (U.S.) EXCLUSIVE Finger Puppet Order Form Insert for both Glo Flutterbug and the newest friend, Glo Prayerbug. This offer requires you to send in 2 Moon Drop Points and $2.50 per finger puppet, plus $1.00 for S&H. The offer expired on January 31, 1987. These came with some MOC finger puppets, that is why they have so many folds / fold up so small.
---Note: I'm not sure whether Glo Flutterbug and Glo Prayerbug were available in both Canada and the U.S. If so, then they would each have their own exclusive order form. Note the U.S. shipping address and postage fees on the forms I show from my collection.
3. 1988 Playskool GLO FRIENDS (WENDYS) Mail Order (U.S.) EXCLUSIVE POSTER Order Form Insert for a Glow in the Dark Poster measuring 18 inches by 24 inches. It does not show what the poster looks like, and I have never seen it before. This offer says the poster is FREE but you have to pay S&H charges which is $1.75 for each poster. The offer expired on August 31, 1989. Pamphlet also shows the lite-up Glo Worms (Stars series) and Glo Friends finger puppets available. Since this came with the Wendy's Meal toys series, it shows all 12 finger puppets to collect.

I ordered Glo Flutterbug when I was a kid, I still have him too. Did Glo Flutterbug or Glo Prayerbug come with cards like the other Glo Friends did?
ReplyDeleteI wish this comment would reach you, though it seems unlikely. I love Glo Worms as well, but for years, I’ve been trying to identify another old toy I once had. I thought I saw it in one of these ads, but couldn’t be sure, as the picture was blurry. But with Playskool as a clue, I found a proper picture of the toy, and that’s it! But I’ve had no luck finding it online. Knowing the name might help. If you still have the ad with the picture of the white and yellow music cats in the upper right, is there any chance you could tell me their name?
