GLO FRIENDS Finger Puppets are shown here with what I believe to be their matching bags, based on my own collection and researching the others. I mentioned in a previous post that you need to know the bag color as well as the thread color when matching them up properly.

Check out my Page that has the Glo Friends Finger Puppet Bag Checklist for more detail.

UPDATE: I want to thank a special ebayer for looking into their own collection of packaged figures to confirm that the colors shown in these pictures are correct, except for Glo Bug. It should be the purple/pink bag, not the one shown. The checklist (see "Pages" section for Checklist) appears to be correct though. And, I just realized that I missed Firefly on here. I'll correct this sometime in the future. Until then, use the checklist! ;)

  1. Wow!! Just wanted to say that this is the nicest and most informative Glo website I have seen. Fab! :)

Hope you don't mind me asking, but I am trying to find an experienced collector to advise me on restoring a Glo Friend (Butterfly).

I bought her a few months ago from the U.S (I'm in the U.K) and was pretty miffed to find that she had been overpainted (this wasn't visible on the photos) in a mismatching colour. I know it sounds silly, but it really bugs me!

It wouldn't be worth me sending her all the way back, so I was thinking of repainting her (in the right colour this time!). However, I can't seem to find any information on the best paint to use?? I am wondering if I can use acrylic paint, such as Ceramcoat or Apple Barrel to carefully restore her? (have a good eye and a steady hand, so no concerns there!)

She isn't for resale or anything (and in any case, if she was I would state this in the listing, cos I'm good like that). Just for my own little Glo Friend collection, cos I think they're super cute and I used to love them as a girl. :)

    Many thanks and regards,

    Emma.

    1. Hi Emma! Sorry for the late reply, I don't get on this blog as much as I used to. Since many people are making custom paint jobs etc for My Little Pony, I would suggest googling My Little Pony Custom Paint. Years ago I was interested in doing it, and I did find a very good site. My memory (which isn't that great) recalls something about using acrylic paints, but you would then need to use a clear coat sealant over the paint. They were recommending Windsor Newton products. Wishing you the best of luck on your new project!!
